In Mourning….Kinda

I was busy with watching our baby the first half of this week, so I missed our raid night on Tuesday. Luckily, the crew was able to make a lot of progress, leaving us with Putricide, Sindragosa and LK for last night. This was perfect since we have been working on Heroic Putricide (they apparently got him down to 3% on one attempt on Tuesday). Our first Shadowmourne recipient was also only one Shard away from his weapon, so we were all jazzed about finally downing Putricide and moving on.
We rolled into the instance and got set up. Made a few good early attempts and then things dipped a little bit regarding progress. Luckily, we were able to get things together and finally down the Heroic Professor! This meant the raid got a Shadowmourne, and we got to down a progression boss! We then went on to down Sindragosa and LK on normal mode with relatively minor stumbling.
After LK died, our Shadowmourne wielder completed his small cadre of quests, then the raid leadership put the various items up for roll/bid. The mount was the only thing I was interested in. When the call to roll came, I threw mine down.
And got a 94! BAM!
…..then one of our Resto Druids rolled a 100, and I was a sad panda
Oh well, such is the breaks with open rolls.
It was still a great night of raiding, plus we made some solid progress.
Next week begins attempts on Heroic Sindragosa, but I’m expecting a bit less of a learning curve since we attempted her a few times in the past. And to be honest, there isn’t that huge of a change to the fight anyway. An extra ice tomb and the tanks have to be a bit more vigilant about dropping their debuff stacks.
